The website does not display ads or use a browser analytics beacon for readers in any region. Cloudflare receives technical request information to deliver and protect the website. The Android app is separate: it may show a small Google AdMob advertisement after reading content outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, as described below.

For Android advertising, the app uses the network location of your request. It asks spreuke.app for a two-letter country code and keeps the result only in memory for the current session; it is not stored as a location profile.

Spreuke (spreuke.app) is operated by FreeBeings.io LLC, 145 Pine Haven Shores Rd, Ste 1000A, Shelburne, Vermont 05482-7812, United States. FreeBeings.io LLC is the data controller.

1. Technical requests (everyone). When the website serves a page, or the Android app downloads public content or checks its country, Cloudflare receives the source IP address and technical request information, which may include the requested path and browser or device details. Cloudflare handles requests across its network to deliver content, make the regional decision, protect the service and maintain reliability. It may process this information in the United States and other locations. Cloudflare says some network metadata is kept for a limited period; exact retention and transfer arrangements depend on the service and terms that apply. Where GDPR applies, our stated purpose is our legitimate interest in providing and securing the service (Article 6(1)(f)); you may object using the contact details below.

2. Website measurement. The website does not use Google Analytics, advertising scripts, or a browser audience- measurement beacon. We do not create visitor profiles or use website request data to target advertising. Optional server-side measurement is not active.

3. Android advertising data (app readers outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland only). The app may initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK and show a small AdMob ad after reading content. Google says this SDK automatically collects and shares an IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers—including the Android advertising ID—for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This data is encrypted in transit. Google handles it under Google's privacy policy.

4. Reading data stored on your Android device. The app stores Sparks you have seen or saved, reading history and book positions, cached public content, and notification choices locally on your device. Spreuke does not receive or sync this information. Daily-Spark and new-writing notifications are optional, off by default, and generated locally; the app uses no push token or Firebase Cloud Messaging.

That's the whole list. No website accounts, newsletters, comments, messages or cloud reading profiles. The shop handles order and payment information separately, as described above.

Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) — provides website and app-content hosting and network delivery, and receives IP addresses and technical request information to route, deliver and protect requests. Cloudflare describes processing network metadata in its global network, including data centers in the United States and Europe. Its public Data Processing Addendum describes Cloudflare's transfer terms for services where that addendum applies. The specific processing and transfer arrangements depend on the Cloudflare services used.

Google (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) — may process Android AdMob data outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland as described above. Google's own privacy information applies to that app feature.

Cloudflare's retention for technical request information depends on the service and account settings; Cloudflare describes some network metadata as retained for a limited period. We do not keep a separate website audience profile. Google sets retention for Android AdMob data. Local app reading data remains on the device until you reset it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you can ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal data we hold, and object to or restrict processing. Technical requests may be handled by our hosting provider as described above; order and support records are handled separately. Write to privacy@freebeings.io and you will get a proper answer within a month. Ask anyway; we'll answer properly either way.

You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

For Android advertising data held by Google, Google provides its own controls: adssettings.google.com

On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device's privacy settings. You can erase Spreuke's local reading data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.

We do not sell personal information, and Spreuke does not currently meet the thresholds that would bring it under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar state laws. If that ever changes, this page will say so and describe your rights under those laws.

Spreuke is a general-audience reading website and app and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children; the services described above are the only collection there is.

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. We don't announce changes any other way — this quiet page is the record.
