The view from above

By upholding the principles and effecting the enablers of order in your life, you gain a higher view on your life; a view I like to call The View From Above.

Just as an artist painting a piece of art needs to take care of the finer details and also be aware of how the bigger picture is coming out, you also need to pay attention to your life’s details and the bigger picture too. In life, we sometimes pay too much attention to the small things (the problems, pains of life, losses and other people’s opinions about us) and we give little time to looking at how what we do is affecting our lives.

There’s no use in painting the wrong picture with the right brushes. We might not have everything we want, but we have everything we need to make something of our lives in our possession. Life, time, a mind and a body; these are the right brushes. Use them to paint the picture you want.

The view from above makes you wiser. What you see as a failure might actually be a nudge in the direction of success. A setback might serve to put you ahead. Feeling lost can be seen as a wake up call to you going in the wrong direction, and the beginning of your walk back to your rightful path. The irony of it all is amusing.

To sum it all up though, I maintain my life’s order by paying attention to the enablers of order. I appreciate the value of work and I work hard to improve my life, but I don’t just work aimlessly. I work with foresight and that enables me to be proactive. With proactivity I can avoid bad circumstances before they befall me and I can make changes today that bring about good circumstances in the future. At all times, I try my best to listen to reality, so that I don’t make decisions based on unrealistic ideas. I also ask questions, whether things are going well or I am in the middle of a crisis, knowing that questioning my life makes me think productively.

I focus on the bigger picture and try my best to stay true to who I am, and I am as patient as death when it comes to building my life up. This is not to say that my life is perfect. I do have weaknesses and I encounter problems, as do all of us, but I never let them dictate how I live my life.
