a better beta

when people laugh at me
for going through hard times
it intrigues me how
one can be so ignorant

when you’ve seen enough of life to know better
you will look at your own life
and ask when your lesson is coming
because
life teaches all
it’s just at different times
and we take turns

i’m not hurt by being mocked
i just say goodbye
and wish them luck
for when it’s their turn
because tables turn

things change
the new gets old
the old passes,
but we too should change

what matters is not what
but who you’re making of yourself

what version of yourself are you?

there is no end to self-improvement
no matter how much you change for the better
there is always room for improvement

we’re always in transition
always in beta
that’s why i always seek
to improve
to be a better beta version of myself

during times of reflection
i look at my old versions
i study the changelogs
to understand how i’ve grown
