We operate from the United States. Depending on where you live, certain privacy laws may apply (for example, the GDPR/UK GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws). You can contact us at any time using the details in the “Contact Us” section.

2. Data You Provide

You may choose to provide information when you use Spreuke, including:

  • Account information: Information you provide to create or manage an account (for example, name and basic profile details).
  • Journal entries and reflections: Content you write in the journal, including text you choose to save.
  • Chat and support messages: Messages you send through the app to receive responses, guidance, or support.
  • Preferences: Settings such as language, theme, reminder settings, and other in-app preferences.
  • Feedback: Reports, feedback, or other information you send us (for example, via email).

Please don’t include sensitive personal information in your journal or messages unless you are comfortable storing it in the app.

3. Data Collected Automatically

When you use Spreuke, certain information may be collected automatically by our systems and by service providers we use.

  • App usage analytics (mobile app): We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, app opens, screen views, and feature interactions) so we can improve reliability and experience.
  • Push notifications (mobile app): If you enable notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver them. This may involve device tokens needed to route notifications to your device.
  • Website analytics (website): We use Microsoft Clarity on our website to understand aggregated usage patterns (for example, page interactions and session information).
  • Device and connection information: Like most services, we may receive information such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and language settings for security and troubleshooting.

4. How We Use Data

  • Provide and operate the Service: Deliver app functionality, respond to your requests, and keep the Service working.
  • Personalize your experience: Apply preferences like language, theme, and reminder settings.
  • Improve and troubleshoot: Understand usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve performance and reliability.
  • Send notifications: If you enable reminders and notifications, deliver them to your device.
  • Security and compliance: Prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Ads & Analytics

Spreuke uses third-party services to measure app/website usage and (in the mobile app) to show ads.

  • Firebase Analytics (mobile app): Used to understand how features are used and to improve app performance.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (mobile app): Used to deliver notifications you choose to receive.
  • Google AdMob (mobile app): Some screens may display ads or sponsored content. Ad providers may collect device identifiers and related information to deliver and measure ads.
  • Microsoft Clarity (website): Used to understand how visitors use the website.

For more information about Google’s and Microsoft’s privacy practices, you can review: Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Sharing & Transfers

  • Service providers: Hosting, infrastructure, messaging, and analytics vendors may process information for us under binding agreements.
  • Advertising partners (mobile app): Ad services (such as Google AdMob) may receive information needed to serve and measure ads.
  • Legal disclosures: We may share data to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users and the public.
  • Business transfers: Data may be part of corporate transactions (merger, acquisition, financing) with comparable protections.
  • International transfers: Information may be processed in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or similar safeguards to protect your rights.

7. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access and portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to update or rectify inaccurate information.
  • Deletion or restriction: Request deletion of certain data or limit how we process it, subject to legal obligations.
