Watch a baby learn and influence shows in its plainest form. They work out that talking beats crying and walking beats crawling — “They see a better way and reach out for it.” Someone around them made that better way visible.

The process never stops. Influence does not fade with age; it grows complex, and we grow choosier about who we let shape us — while every one of us is still influencing someone.

Hence the call for “mature people in the world that influence others and show them a better way to live life” — people who succeed, invent, think productively and love life. Not because influence is a duty. Because it is happening either way.
