“Having skill and talent you cannot use to the fullest is painful; it's like a slow death.”

Skill is learned in order to be used. When ability finds real work, it brings fulfilment and a sense that one’s life has something particular to give.

Being unable to use that ability creates more than frustration. Purpose has no outlet, and a living part of the person is repeatedly held back. Over time, that blockage can weaken hope itself.

The pain comes from knowing that the wings exist while circumstances keep them closed. A different place or path may be needed, not because every talent must earn praise, but because unused ability cannot fully take part in life. Expression is part of what keeps its owner alive inside.
