Trouble makes attention feel necessary. When life is calm, the need to pay attention can disappear with the pressure. Success and happiness may then seem able to maintain themselves. But a good state carries its own work. It needs to be understood, cared for, and protected from the habits that once created disorder. The absence of a crisis does not mean there is nothing left to see. It may mean that the first warnings are quieter.

Maturity includes listening during peace, when no painful result is forcing the issue. Something can require care while everything still looks right. Seeing that early is what allows order to continue instead of waiting for chaos to make the need obvious.
