Motive to cheat

All forms of cheating reflect weakness, an unwillingness to learn, grow or own up to the truth. Take cheating on academic tests for example. This reflects a misunderstanding of the purpose of a test. The test in itself is not the end, it is just an assessment on your progress. What really matters is how you’ve been doing before the test. When a person cheats on a test, the person portrays the image of an unprepared and dishonest person. If you really want to know the truth about how you are doing, you will assume responsibility, take the test honestly and learn from the truthful results.

The same applies to romantic relationships. Cheating on your partner simply means that you do things that you know you shouldn’t, behind his or her back. Things that betray trust and break the unwritten laws that govern your relationship. Cheating portrays the image of a weak person who doesn’t want to face the truth. If the relationship is not working, then face the truth and deal with it (try to make it work or end it).

Any person who chooses to cheat instead of facing the truth is weak and not willing to learn and grow from the truth. It all depends on how you view the situation. Is it a personal challenge to learn, grow and benefit from, or is it something you want to run away from?
