Feeling hurt
Chapter 45 of 76
There is a lot you can learn about people from feeling hurt. When you are hurt by a person not loving you, it means that you know what you want out of love and that you love yourself too; enough to hate being hurt. It’s hard to accept less love than what you think you deserve, and it’s also hard to love more than is deserved.
Back to the subject at hand, when a person insults you, and it hurts you, it means that you respect yourself. You think that you are worth more than how you are being treated, that’s why it hurts when someone thinks less of you.
It goes both ways. When a person hurts other people on purpose, and it pleases them, then they don’t know how to love, and they probably don’t love themselves as they ought to. A person who disrespects others shows a lack of understanding that probably means that he or she lacks self-respect.
