Remember the people in your life

Remember those that went too soon.
That had so much potential, as a flower about to bloom.
Those you think about everyday,
And even those you think of once in a blue moon.

Those that touched your heart in ways profound,
And helped you value yourself,
With a peaceful heart and a mind that is sound.

Even the angels of heartbreak,
That brought you nothing but heartache,
And weren’t true to the words that came out of their mouths.

So too, the perfect lovers,
That treated you like none other.
With whom there was no need for another one,
For as long as you had one another.

And those that abandoned you.
And jumped ship instead of staying with,
And left you to see yourself through.

Then remember those that went with you through the tough times.
That lent a hand and went out of their own way sometimes.

Remember the relentless caregivers,
That put up with your good and bad moods.
That show you love based simply on who you are.

And also the great minds that woke your mind up,
And showed you how to make your own way in life,
By teaching you to never give up.

If a picture is worth a million words,
Then I’ll take photos of it all.
To remember them.

The truth is: All these people played a part,
In the motion picture of your life.
So remember them.
Yes, keep them in your heart.
