No one gets to price you. Not because you’re beyond measure, but because the number would already be out of date. “Nobody alive today can tell me how much I am worth. I change that everyday.”

Any outside verdict is an estimate, and “estimates are not reality.” They try to fix something that keeps moving. Your worth keeps moving because you keep choosing — “with every choice I make and every action I take.” You can choose yourself toward being useless or valuable, toward poverty or wealth. The choices aren’t influences on your worth; they’re what it’s made of.

That’s why the last line hands the pen to you: “You are worth as much as you make yourself worth.” Not a compliment. A statement of who’s holding it.
