When speaking puts you at risk of losing, And being silent is no different.

Sometimes honesty feels dangerous because saying what you need may push someone farther away. Silence feels dangerous too; what you meant and how much they matter may remain unknown. Neither option offers safety. Both seem capable of ending in the same loss.

That fear grows when a relationship is already breaking down. Words are chosen carefully, but the listener seems to have decided. Saying more can add anger; saying less cannot close the distance. Care cannot guarantee that the right words still exist. Sincerity cannot reopen a decision that already appears final. Even then, reaching them still matters after communication has stopped offering a clear path back.
