Some things are best left unknown
Chapter 33 of 76
It is not always the case that knowledge is power; knowledge can make things worse, and there are some things that are best left unknown. There are many times when I wished I didn’t know something.
For example, you know how people say not all is as it seems, right? I’ve had occasions on which the rosy picture I had in my mind about something or someone was replaced with ugly realities. It is hard to think more of something you know is worth less; it is hard to lie to yourself.
In life, the knowledge we acquire can give us power or make us weaker, it can make things better or make them worse. How we choose to use the knowledge we acquire is what determines if it makes us weaker or stronger. Knowing that you are alive doesn’t make you love life. Knowing that you will die one day shouldn’t make you lose hope in life. Knowledge is power only when we choose to use it to our advantage.
