Your birth
Chapter 4 of 30
Appreciation for a person’s birth
Two pregnant women, carrying two babies.
Two different lives, and two different souls.
Two new books, with nothing but blank pages.
Christ the mighty pen & God the author of all ages.
Each soul with a destiny, a path to walk on.
If and when they’ll meet, nobody knows.
But that God’s will shall be done; that you can bet on.
And when it happens, no one can stop it.
No man alive, or dead; no spirits unseen.
Both souls cannot understand it with their heads, they can’t fight the feeling within.
At love’s mercy, they surrender and give in,
To a higher calling, a direct order from the King.
One that aims to make them whole, and give their lives meaning.
One that will fulfill what He had foreordained.
Who am I to question? Who am I to find fault? Who am I to judge?
I’m just trying to find what I’ve been missing.
Trying to listen.
Trying to learn my lesson.
To me, baby, you are God-given.
For your birth, to God, thanks I’m frequently giving.
And I pray for a good future.
One with God, you and me in the picture.
