It matters to me
Chapter 5 of 30
All that you think is unnecessary; it matters to me
You don’t try to make me laugh anymore,
It’s like you care less, and my feelings you choose to ignore.
You don’t sympathize like you used to,
You don’t feel pain when I do,
And my feelings you’ve hurt, and abused too.
You don’t enjoy the hugs,
And push me away when I try to snuggle.
You want to fight, when I want to cuddle.
I remember when I used to appreciate this.
What we had seemed so precious; a unique possession that I now miss.
It’s all the little things that make a relationship different,
And things like caring, and saying and doing as you meant.
I’m still the same woman you stole a heart from, as me as I can be.
All that you say is unnecessary; it matters to me.
That is the point that I really wish you could see.
