When someone comes into money and turns bad, we blame the money. Innocent flips the order: nothing new was added to the person — something already there was funded. “Money doesn’t change you, it reveals you.”

Money is “just an enabler.” It widens what you can do; it says nothing about what you’ll choose. The same dollar feeds a hungry child or funds someone’s cruelty. One note pays for a wedding or for a betrayal. The money is identical each time. Only the hand holding it differs.

So watching what money does to a person tells you about the person, not the money. The one caution he keeps is that telling a good use from a bad one, once you can afford both, takes a steady mind.
