Hard times don’t only take — they turn up things you’d never have found otherwise. “There are great discoveries to be made in difficult times, because where problems abound, solutions are just around the corner.”

The shift, Innocent says, is in what you do with the problem. Complain about it and you stay a victim of circumstance. Choose to find a way forward and you become something else — a survivor, then a force of change, even someone others still stuck look to.

So the discovery isn’t only the solution you find; it’s who you become while looking for it. The problem turns out to be the doorway, not the wall.
